AgriTechTalk International CIC offers a range of training services:
1. Training materials for Agricultural Numeracy
2. Training materials for Farm Recording and Data Collection
1. Training materials for Agricultural Numeracy
AgriTechTalk, working with AA International, has developed learning modules in functional numeracy for professionals working in food and nutrition security. The modules are cartoon based farm visits of a fictional extension agent called 'Uno How' to two farmers, 'Tad' and 'Mim'. The cartoons link to explanations, simple calculations and exercises, as well as lots of numeracy tips.
All these resources are available in English; with some modules translated into French and North Ugandan languages. They can be downloaded as pdfs from the Agricultural Numeracy link below.
For further details visit our Financial Literacy page, or contact us with any enquiries.
2. Training materials for Farm Recording and Data Collection
AgriTechTalk, working with AA International, has developed simple collection templates and training materials, relating to agriculture and farm recording/data collection. This includes hard copy farm data collection sheets, as well as spreadsheet templates for data transfer and analysis.
Training on these recording systems can be provided by our partner AgriTechTalk-Africa.
Please contact us with any enquiries.
3. Training in the use of PET methodology for crop and livestock assessing
AgriTechTalk, working alongside AgriTechTalk-Africa, can provide in-country training on the PET methodology to field assessors.
This includes training on PET crops, PET livestock and PET forage, incorporating the background and theory behind the PET methodology, as well as practical field training. PET manuals or the PET app can be used depending on the clients' resources and needs.
AgriTechTalk can also directly source equipment for assessors carrying out PET crop and forage assessments. We can supply lightweight, foldable quadrats and hand-held spring balances suitably scaled for crop sampling (1 kg x 5g intervals).
